A floral, fruity interpretation of oud wood
Unveiling its most ravishing, crimson facets, black oud wood is lacquered with a red cherry note. Between red and black, a potent new olfactory hue is exalted through a duo of roses at the fragrance’s heart, composed of honey-toned Turkish rose absolute and Bulgarian rose essence.
Embraced by a dusky leather accord, the rose darkens and falls under the scandalous charms of oud. A vibrant chromatic encounter between mysterious black and powerful red.

The fragrance artist’s touch
Oud wood blushes red and is freed of all inhibitions. In this tantalizing olfactory transgression, Delphine Jelk has tinged intensely black oud with a lacquered tone of red.
"If Cherry Oud were a color, it would be glossy red by Jeff Koons.”

Oud wood
Black by nature, oud is considered to be one of the most mysterious materials used in perfumery. The penetrating fragrance of this precious substance lies in its resin, secreted from the core of the wood.
Grown sustainably and harvested by hand following a time-honored ritual, the oud chosen by Guerlain Perfumers is sourced from the forests of Bangladesh on the border with Assam. Its essence exudes elegantly woody scents with leathery, subtly animalic tones.
With Cherry Oud, oud wood is dyed with a cherry note.
